Who we are...
| Dr. Jackie Jacobs, CCRP
Jacqueline "Jackie" Jacobs, DVM, has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 20 years. She has earned the credential of CCRP (certified canine rehabilitation practitioner), having completed her course work at the University of Tennessee and passed her CCRP testing. She is the director of Countryside Canine Rehabilitation, associated with Countryside Veterinary Hospital, and handles all physical therapy cases for Countryside Canine Rehabilitation clientele. In order to become a CCRP one must complete an intensive 10 day international training program that covers the entire University of Tennessee's two-year course series. In order to qualify to sit for the certification examination, the participant must complete not only the intensive training program, but also later submit 4 case studies that the participant has personally diagnosed and treated, as well as complete a one week externship in a canine physical therapy facility outside of their employment. Dr. Jacobs is extremely dedicated to the healing effects of physical therapy and it's varied uses and benefits to canines and felines. She is also devoted to the philosophy and has seen first hand, that physical therapy helps pets to achieve a fuller recovery with a better range of motion; and in some instances complete recovery that would not be possible without the addition of physical therapy treatments in their recovery regimen.
Dr. Brian Holub, owner and operater of Countryside Canine Rehabilitation, is also CCRP qualified and is in the process of completing the further requirements for CCRP certification. |
